GULF COPPER DOCK INSPECTION

AMI provided topside and underwater inspection and reporting services for approximately 3,700 lineal feet of dock wall in Port Aransas, TX. A Level I and Level II/III dive inspection of existing sheet pile dock wall was performed to determine the existing condition of each structural component. AMI also performed vertical alignments of existing walls to confirm any current or prior movement at the site. A topside inspection above the waterline on the existing wall, fenders, and external wale systems was completed.

Following the inspection, AMI summarized the results in a detailed condition assessment report. The report included pertinent pictures, tables, drawings, and video clips from the underwater inspection to present the condition of the dock at the time of the inspection. The report also included recommendations, estimations of loss, and drawings of preliminary repair options for the deteriorated sections of the dock wall. AMI presented the results of the inspection and the report to the owner to thoroughly discuss and explain the existing conditions of the dock and options for future repairs and rehabilitation.
