- 2-Story Boathouse with elevator
- Built in the 1930’s
- Listed on the National Register of Historic Places
AMI Consulting Engineers, P.A. provided structural and geotechnical engineering services to the U.S. Forest Service as part of the effort to repurpose the historic Forest Lodge property. This property is located on a 50.1 acre parcel on the south shore of Lake Namakagon in Bayfield County, Wisconsin, and dates back to the early 20th century. There are 15 rustic style log buildings located on the property. The two story recreational boathouse located near the Main Lodge was determined to be in immediate need of stabilization and rehabilitation. The AMI team determined boring locations for geotechnical exploration and derived a series of building foundation rehabilitation options based on the geotechnical findings. A report detailing all of the rehabilitation options was provided to the U.S. Forest Service.
