AMI Consulting Engineers, PA provided structural and mechanical engineering services for a 8,000 sq. ft. gymnasium addition to the church in Isle, Minnesota.  AMI Engineers worked as part of an established multi-discipline design team of engineers and architects to coordinate all aspects of the building design.  Through open communication, utilizing modern design and analysis software, and engaging the experience of the team, we were able to provide a cost-effective design that met the client’s needs.  AMI Engineers provided construction documents and specifications for the foundation, walls, roof, and HVAC system.  The addition was designed using traditional footings and full height ICF exterior walls, and pre-engineered wood scissor trusses.  A combination of in-floor heat and radiators was designed to distribute heat from the existing boiler while a dedicated demand controlled ventilation system provides fresh air. The complete building design allowed for fast, affordable construction, and energy efficient operation.
