AMI Consulting Engineers and CHAOS (Coastal Hazards of Superior) hosted a special post-restoration field trip at Brighton Beach in Duluth, MN.

2:00 PM – 4:00 PM CT

This hands-on tour, co-led by AMI’s Ryan Dagger, Assistant Coastal Engineering Manager, and Jim Shoberg, Landscape Architect for the City of Duluth, offered attendees the chance to explore how engineering and landscape architecture came together to restore one of Lake Superior’s most beloved shorelines.

Attendees learned:

  • How the City of Duluth addressed severe storm damage

  • Innovative shoreline stabilization techniques

  • Monitoring and long-term maintenance strategies

  • Lessons learned for future coastal resilience efforts
